Finally! New iOS 13 API can fix Google Photos syncing issues

This week, Apple officially confirmed during WWDC 2019 some important new features that may soon be seen not only in the "new handsets" category but also in the upcoming updates to PCs , smartphones and tablets .

However, some news related to iOS 13 was not fully revealed in the event and one of the most relevant points was the identification that the new system will finally allow applications to perform tasks in the background, which could benefit in special Google Photos.

According to Tanmay Sonawane, the new API is called a backgroudTasks and should be implemented in iOS 13, allowing tasks to be scheduled and executed in the background, thus excluding the obligation to keep an activity in the forefront for its effective realization.

Obviously, the implementation of this API in the new versions may not only bring the benefit to Google Photos and other applications that would need this access but also decrease the battery performance on iPhones unless Apple can optimize the system to save some energy at other points.

It is worth remembering that, at least for now, there is no information regarding the launch of stable version of iOS 13, and it is expected to occur only at the end of the year, when it is effectively ready for consumer availability.

So, what did you think of the novelty? Tell us in the comments!
