Sony official video shows the PlayStation 5 in action

Although Sony has already spoken officially about the PlayStation 5 , with its absence from E3 2019 , it was believed that the company would still be publicly displaying something about the console. Fortunately, it did not take long for this to happen: in a presentation conducted by the company, we could see how it compares to the PlayStation 4 in a matter of loading time.

The presentation was accompanied by Takashi Mochizuki, technology reporter for The Wall Street Journal who published a short video on his personal Twitter. In it, we can see that while the PlayStation 4 Pro takes 8.10 seconds to load a Marvel's Spider-Man area, the new PlayStation does it in just 0.83 seconds - a brutal difference

Any time and place, without disconnections

At the event, Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida said the company is working hard to secure a good relationship with outsourced developers. He also said that the concept behind the console can be summed up in the phrase "anytime, anywhere, without disconnections," a sign that the company's plans may be more ambitious than we had hoped.

Much of the reason behind the striking comparison is the new SSD technology the company plans to adopt on the new PlayStation. According to the manufacturer, not only should it reduce the loading time of games, but it should also allow developers to create new experiences and stop worrying about creating content for load screens.
