Amazon hires GOT scriptwriter to work with "Lord of the Rings" series

With the end of Game Of Thrones , much of the public now questions the future of part of the team responsible for the HBO series. Top writers, David Benioff and DB Weiss, are now engaged in the upcoming Star Wars saga.

Bryan Cogman, the third most important screenwriter of the series, was confirmed as a member of the team responsible for producing the series based on "The Lord of the Rings". The information was confirmed by the writer George RR Martin, author of the books "The Chronicles of Ice and Fire", that gave origin to GOT.

As we know, the series based on the universe of "The Lord of the Rings" was announced by Amazon recently but is still without a debut date . This is because much of the mega production is still at an early stage. Anyway, the e-commerce giant bet that the series will achieve the same popularity of GOT.
So part of Tolkien's fans - including George RR Martin himself - are watching the backstage moves. Thus, many believe that the hiring of Cogman should add much value to the series. That's because he was known to produce the best episodes of GOT.

Some fans still point out that Cogman is also acclaimed for having an "encyclopedic" knowledge of books and for faithfully following what is written . So, unlike the double D & D, he did not face the big disapproval of the GOT audience, who even petitioned for the eighth season re-record.

It is worth remembering that the adaptation of JRRTolkien's work for TV is being made by JD Payne and Patrick McKay. The series will be produced by Amazon Studios and will be one of the great highlights of the Amazon Prime Video streaming service . So far, there is no preview for the show, but rumors indicate that the release is due in 2021.
